Let the Summer Reading Season Begin!

The last day of school was on Friday and I have already finished two books - summer is off to a great start! The first book is "Sh*t My Dad Says" by Justin Halpern. It is short and hilarious. The book is actually going to be a sitcom with William Shatner this fall. If you don't mind cuss words (and I don't think any of us do), read the book or follow his twitter account. I read a couple of things from the book to Dave and he cracked up.

Book #2 was "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" by Stieg Larsson. It is the third book of a trilogy and in order to understand it you really do have to read the first two but they are both excellent. They are mysteries and they take place in Sweden so there are lots of names I can't pronounce (which bugs me to no end). Still, great books.

Are you guys reading anything good this summer?? Let me know - at the rate I am going, I am going to need many suggestions!!

First Book

OK, the first book we are going to read is Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I have already read this but I need to read it again. It is one of those books that you read slowly - not a pageturner but not all great books are.

Everyone has until August to read the book - I am sure it is going to be everywhere because it is coming out as a movie in August starring Julia Roberts. So, here's the plan. We read the book, get together to discuss the book, eat, drink, and see the movie. How does that sound??

Finally!

Hey Everyone!

I finally got the two things I needed to get this going - an internet connection and TIME! I came up with the Rozycki Readers as the title of the blog in about 10 seconds so if anyone has another name for it, let me know and I will change it. I was thinking about how we are going to choose the books we are going to read. How about if we each choose one and assign months to each book? Does that work or you all? If so, everyone needs to reply to this post with their one book choice and we will assign months to the book? Let me know if this is OK. We have 8 people so far(including me) so we can take 4 months off sometime during the year. Have fun trying to choose!!
