Let the Summer Reading Season Begin!

The last day of school was on Friday and I have already finished two books - summer is off to a great start! The first book is "Sh*t My Dad Says" by Justin Halpern. It is short and hilarious. The book is actually going to be a sitcom with William Shatner this fall. If you don't mind cuss words (and I don't think any of us do), read the book or follow his twitter account. I read a couple of things from the book to Dave and he cracked up.

Book #2 was "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" by Stieg Larsson. It is the third book of a trilogy and in order to understand it you really do have to read the first two but they are both excellent. They are mysteries and they take place in Sweden so there are lots of names I can't pronounce (which bugs me to no end). Still, great books.

Are you guys reading anything good this summer?? Let me know - at the rate I am going, I am going to need many suggestions!!

  1. I am just starting the Larsson series! So, no spoilers. I finished eat pray love... ehhh it was okay, but I am very interested in seeing how the movie turns out. I also read this little side story from the twilight series, called the short second life of Bree Tanner. Loved it... I am weird like that i loved the twilight saga! I am also planning on reading precious by Sapphire, the last song by nicholas sparks, and heart of the matter by emily giffin!
